The Kettering Medical Center Culinary and Nutrition Care department is looking for an Inpatient Clinical Dietitian to support our staff, patients, family members and community.

Responsibilities & Requirements

The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Providing quality medical nutrition therapy to a variety of patients through skillful nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention, evaluation, and monitoring
  • Communicating effectively with other health care professionals
  • Maintaining up-to-date professional knowledge and participating in continuing education and staff development activities
  • Serving as a preceptor/mentor for dietetic interns and department staff

Applicants must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND®)
  • Completed an ACEND®-accredited supervised practice program
  • Current license in the State of Ohio
  • Registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration or able to obtain within 6 months of hire


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in an acute or long term care setting with an emphasis on nutrition support, diabetes or cardiac medical nutrition therapy
