    Kettering Physician Network employs more than 400 providers, including physicians and advanced practice providers, throughout the Greater-Dayton and Cincinnati areas. Offering an extensive range of specialties and expertise, our physicians provide comprehensive care at more than 120 locations.

     

    Based out of the MICU/SICU and providing 24/7 coverage.  This position is resource 12 hour evening shifts. The APP is a licensed practitioner providing services to both inpatient and outpatient areas within the hospital. These services include transfers, prompt consultations, including with the Emergency Department, and timely discharges.  The APP works in collaboration with the medical director in the assessment and treatment of inpatients and outpatients referred to the ICU.  The APP will also be actively involved in the education with the patient and family about the care they are receiving, and will serve as a resource to families to assist in dealing with their various health care needs.  The APP will communicate with referring physicians and departments within the hospital while maintaining consistent, quality, customer service oriented care reflecting the mission, vision and goals of the Kettering Health Network.

    Responsibilities & Requirements

    Educational Requirements:

    • Master’s Degree required –
      • National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners
      • Graduate of approved Physician Assistant program with current PA license in the state of Ohio; certified by State Medical Board of Ohio; certificate to prescribe for prescriptive privileges

    • Maintains competencies and skills of specialty area of practice

    Must meet eligibility requirements needed for hospital staff privileges

     

    1-3 years of experience as Acute APRN is required

     

    Must have ICU experience
