    The Kettering Health Network Respiratory Care teams are an integral part of daily clinical care. We work collaboratively with our clinical caregivers, patients and families to improve and maintain ideal lung health. We currently have an opening for a Respiratory Therapist.

    The goal of our Respiratory Therapist is to perform with a high degree of competency all clinical aspects of respiratory care for all age groups (adult, geriatric, and pediatrics).

    Responsibilities & Requirements

    Job Responsibilities

    To perform with a high degree of competency all clinical aspects of respiratory care for all age groups (adult, geriatric, and pediatrics)

    • IPPB/IPPV and other deep breathing maneuvers
    • Humidity and aerosol systems
    • Medical gas systems
    • Ventilator preparation, management and trouble shooting for adult and pediatric patients
    • Postural drainage and percussion
    • Arterial blood gas puncture analysis and interpretation
    • Non-invasive blood gas monitoring systems
    • Infection control procedures
    • CPAP
    • Bronchoscopy assist

    Job Requirements:

    • Registered Respiratory Therapist
    • Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner from the State of Ohio
    • BLS and ACLS
    • Graduate of Associate degree or higher accredited Respiratory Care program
    • One year practice as a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner preferred
    • Must possess quality assessment skills, critical thinking and able to make independent decision

     

    This position requires: 36 hours/6 weeks 

    • 2 scheduled 8 hour weekend shifts per 6 weeks schedule
    • The remaining hours can be in 4, 8 or 12 hour blocks to meet the minimum requirements of 36 hours/6 weeks 
    • If your Resource requirement does not require a 12 hour shift, your holiday requirement will be a 8 hour shift
