The Director plans, manages, implements and evaluates all aspects of the fundraising activities for Greene Medical Foundation serving Greene Memorial Hospital (GMH) and Indu and Raj Soin Medical Center (IRSMC). Fundraising activities include, and are not limited to, capital campaigns, major and individual gift identification, research, cultivation and solicitation; special purpose projects and grants; annual appeal solicitation; special event activities and planned giving. The President will serve as the chief administrative officer of Greene Medical Foundation and provide leadership, strategic direction, and counsel to its Board. The President will also offer leadership and direction to other GMH and IRSMC programs, including marketing and community relations, for which he is accountable; serves on the GMH and IRSMC Executive Councils and other councils and committees as appropriate and represents GMH/IRSMC and other KHN entities in the community. He also secures donations and sponsorships for programs, both personally and through leadership of staff and volunteers. The President provides executive leadership and accountability for GMH and IRSMC Volunteer Services program and Gift Shop operations.
Educational Requirements: Master’s Degree Required or substantive fundraising experience preferred. Participates in appropriate continuing education courses.
Professional/Affiliations: Membership in appropriate professional organizations is considered a necessary element of this position. Participation in community organizations enhancing the effectiveness of the medical center is encouraged.
Knowledge and Abilities: Must have extensive knowledge of fundraising and development strategies and relations. Must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to represent GMH/IRSMC and KHN within community and build effective relationships with staff and constituents.
