  • Overview

    The Nurse Manager of Invasive Cardiology participates in the planning, direction, coordination, implementation, delegation, supervision, and evaluation of quality patient care in the Cardiac Diagnostic and Interventional Laboratory (CDIL), Electrophysiology Laboratory, Hybrid Cath/OR suite, and Short-Stay Cardiac 2E activities. The Manager of Invasive Cardiology directs, oversees, and implements staffing schedules and patient assignments in the Cath, EP, Hybrid, and 2E patient care environments. This individual provides leadership to employees and provides financial accountability of the various procedural and patient care areas they oversee via effective resource management.

    The delivery of nursing care within the Kettering Health Network reflects the missions, vision, values and philosophies, of the organization and nursing departments.

    The Nurse Manager of Invasive Cardiology reports to the KMCS Cardiovascular Services Director of Operations.

    Responsibilities & Requirements

    • Bachelor's of Science in Medical related field/Clinical setting
    • Nursing or Business related Master’s degree highly recommended
    • Certification in specialty area highly recommended
    • BLS  required
    • Minimum of five years clinical experience
    • Minimum of three years leadership experience in the acute clinical setting
    • Strong intrapersonal skills
    • Proficient in utilizing computer software
    • Experience with an electronic learning management system preferred

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN or CCNE
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
