    Responsibilities & Requirements

    Under the direction of the Culinary and Nutrition Care Manager, the Clinical Dietitian Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to: 


    • Leading clinical employee work groups (Registered Dietitians, Dietetic Technicians, Call Center Staff, and/or Ambassadors) to optimize patient experience 
    • Promoting strong levels of engagement among employees, and achieving financial goals, through effective employee selection, training, monitoring, coaching, and counseling 
    • Effectively planning/executing training programs for dietetic interns and dietetic students in support of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics 
    • Maintaining department readiness and compliance with regulatory standards (HFAP); coordinating plan and activities with department manager 
    • Maintaining staff schedules and overseeing daily activities of the inpatient room service staff; monitoring/directing staff to ensure service and quality standards are met 
    • Critically evaluating/improving workflow to optimize the patient Culinary and Nutrition Care experience 
    • Functioning as a member of the Culinary and Nutrition Care leadership team; working closely with other members of the healthcare team, patients and family members to resolve concerns and maximize patient satisfaction with room service meals and related support 
    • Maintaining up-to-date professional knowledge, contributing to recognition of the Registered Dietitian as the nutrition expert; participating in continuing education and staff development activities; and serving as a preceptor/mentor for dietetic interns and department staff 
    • Actively participating in outstanding customer service and maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all 


    Applicants must have: 


    • Bachelor’s degree from a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND®) 
    • Completed an ACEND®-accredited supervised practice program 
    • Current state license through the Ohio Medical Board
    • Registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration 
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
    • Strong computer literacy including experience with business and nutrition software applications 

    Preferred Qualifications

    Kettering Health Network would prefer applicants have: 


    • At least 3 years of clinical nutrition experience demonstrating progressive levels of responsibility, supervision and leadership
