Kettering College Overview

• The main campus in Kettering, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton, Ohio, is shared by Kettering College, and the Charles F. Kettering Memorial Hospital. 
• In 2015, Kettering College expanded to include a second facility in Greene County for the Occupational Therapy Doctoral program.
• The main Kettering College campusbuildings include classrooms, laboratories, libraries, the Residence Hall, lounges, gymnasium, auditoriums, cafeteria, laundry, computer facilities, and other offices and services related to academic and professional life. 
• The campus is accessible from Interstate 75and the Dayton International Airport. Shopping centers and other services are close to the main Kettering College campus.

Kettering College seeks a full-time faculty member for the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences.  The selected individual will be qualified to teach courses in clinical ethics and bioethics, and SDA fundamental beliefs. The selected individual will act as an academic advisor for general education students, and other duties assigned by the department chair.  S/he will also engage in online instruction and work closely with fellow teachers to ensure instructional quality.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Doctoral degree in theology, biblical studies, and/or ethics is preferred. Doctoral candidates and MA in Religious or Theological studies may also apply.
• At least a minor in ethics is required.
• Clinical pastoral education is preferred.
• Teaching experience in higher education is preferred.

Because Kettering College is a faith-based institution, the ideal candidate will also be active in their local and faith communities.  It is expected that each applicant will provide a statement of faith regarding how their faith would affect their position as a faculty member within the department.
