Responsibilities

 

  • The Every Weekend Commitment (EWC) position for Rehabilitation Medicine Staff is a voluntary incentive program that compensates staff for consistent weekend work with an increased rate of pay and access to full time benefits. This position requires you to commit to working 24 hours per weekend, 48 weekends per year, allowed 96 hours of un-worked weekend hours per year. These unworked hours include planned and unplanned time off. In exchange for this commitment, you are paid an additional differential to compensate for full time hours and are eligible for benefits as desired.
  • The Occupational Therapist is a licensed professional who evaluates and treats patients in accordance with state and national practice acts.
  • In cooperation with the referral source, provides therapy evaluation to determine the extent of the symptoms and/or functional limitations relevant to the diagnosis.
  • Develops treatment plan that is targeted and adjusted to decrease or eliminate the symptoms and functional limitations.
  • Major tasks and duties include, but are not limited to: direct patient care, day to day patient scheduling, supervision of Physical therapist assistants and students, consultation with physicians and other team members, documentation in the electronic medical record, quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI), clinical education, guest relations, and billing for patient services rendered and other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Applicants Must Have:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of occupational therapy.
  • Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate.
  • Must be licensed  by the State of Ohio.
  • CPR certification.
