The Academic Coach helps students develop skills, behaviors and habits that contribute to success in college. These includes academic and career goal setting, learning strategies, time management and organization, self-regulation and self-efficacy. Performs other duties as assigned.

Fosters persistence and completion by maintaining relationships with college students.

Monitors progress and ensures progression of pre-program students.

Conducts coaching through individual sessions and assists students in performance and developing plans.

Assists students in developing self-efficacy by identifying and overcoming obstacles that may be impeding in their success.
