Provides occupational therapy services under the delegation and supervision of an Occupational Therapist as outlined in the Guide to Standards of Care for Occupational Therapy Practice and Ohio Laws and Rules governing the profession. Follows the plan of care and works in consortium with the supervising therapist to achieve the goals and discharge plans established during assessments. The occupational therapy assistant may assist in the development and participate in patient oriented programs and community educational services as well as market all services provided by the department/organization. The occupational therapy assistant is supervised by the occupational therapist for performance of direct patient care.
