Soin Medical Center Overview  

  • Soin Medical Center has been serving residents of Greene, Western Clark, Eastern Montgomery, and Miami counties since 2012. 
  • Conveniently located off I-675 in Beavercreek. 
  • Provides a variety of health care services and is home to 4  Centers of Excellence as designated by the Surgical Review Corporation  including hernia, minimally invasive and robotic surgery
  • We have 7 Operating Rooms, 20 Pre/postop rooms, 17 PACU bays. We perform approximately 5500 surgeries per year across multiple specialties including but not limited
    to:  general surgery, orthopedics, urology, GYN, spine, and plastic surgery  
  • Soin is currently licensed for 125 beds which will increase after the expansion completion in the Fall of this year.  There are 142 now (we added 17 new ICU beds with the expansion.  This total excludes both adult and neonatal beds in OB In 2020
  • Soin received an “A” from the Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety watchdog, ranking among the safest hospitals in the United States
  • Accredited by the American College of Emergency Physicians as a Level 3 Geriatric Emergency Department.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Summary

The Trauma Program Manager (TPM) is a registered nurse who is fundamental to the development, implementation and evaluation of the trauma program. Coordinates the care of the trauma patient using an interdisciplinary approach in accordance with the requirements of the American College of Surgeons Trauma Team from pre-hospital care through emergency services, acute care services and throughout the continuum of care. Represents trauma center (KHN) at regional and state Trauma Meetings. Assumes day to day responsibility for process and performance improvement activities as they relate to nursing and ancillary personnel and assists the trauma director in carrying out the same functions for the physicians. Responsibilities include: clinical activities, education responsibilities, performance improvement, administration, supervision of trauma registry, consultations and liaison, research as requested, community/injury prevention and national involvement in trauma care systems.

Essential Functions

Key Job Responsibilities Clinical Activities: coordinate management across the continuum of trauma care, which includes the planning and implementation of clinical protocols and practice management guidelines, monitoring care of in-hospital patients, and serving as a resource for clinical practice.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education BSN required. Master’s degree in nursing preferred.

Minimum Work Experience More than five years of experience in the critical care areas required.

Required Skills Formal education at graduate level related to performance improvement preferred. Experience with performance improvement related to patient care and systems preferred.

Required Licenses [Ohio, United States] Registered Nurse
Licensed RN in the state of Ohio. Certification in TNCC, ACLS, BLS, and PALS required. Certification as TC-RN, CEN, or CCRN preferred.
