Job Requirements:

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Associates degree in addition to 5-7 years of writing or copywriting experience could substitute for Bachelor’s Degree.

Work Experience

  • 3-5 years minimum of experience in annual giving, fundraising, development or advancement support
  • Experience in direct mail, crowdfunding giving day campaigns and newsletter creation
  • Demonstrated competency in Raiser’s Edge software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with, and learn, software programs
  • Good organizational and project management skills, written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interact with staff and the public in a professional manner and maintain confidentiality at all times

 

Licenses, Certifications and Registrations

CFRE optional

 

Skills

  • Exceptional writing ability
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to connect with patients to capture their stories with caring and confidentiality
  • Creative self-starter with the ability to follow through with minimum direct supervision
  • Demonstrated competency in Raiser’s Edge software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Ability to quickly learn new software; experience with Luminate especially valuable
  • Team Player
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and other teams (both internally and externally)
  • ‘Cold-call capabilities’ and ability to quickly develop rapport via telephone
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with, and learn, software programs
