Our interventional Angiography team of registered nurses and radiology technicians collaborates to provide personalized care to our patients needing pain management and interventional procedures, cardioversions and TEE in an innovative area with state of the art equipment. This fast-paced environment needs the needs of our patients in a caring, efficient, and expert way, providing care to the outpatient population as well as serving our inpatients at Sycamore Medical Center.

 

Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

 

The angiography tech provides care to patients undergoing pain management and interventional procedures as well as cardioversions and TEE.

 

The tech is responsible for procedural care of patients with appropriate imaging techniques and assisting the physicians intra-procedurally.

 

The tech may assist with appropriate pre and discharge care of patients.

 

This individual will experience long periods of wearing heavy lead aprons.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiology Program
  • Current certification with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Possesses a current Radiologic Technologist license from the Ohio Department of Health
  • BLS certification
  • ODH license
  • The Angiography Technologist has an excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • The Angiography Technologist will need to have excellent communication skills.
  • The Angiography Technologist will need to work well with others and facilitate teamwork.
  • The Angiography Technologist has the ability to exercise independent judgment and initiate independent actions.
  • The Angiography Technologist has the ability to work well in high stress situations.
  • The Angiography Technologist has the ability to work closely with and anticipate the needs of the patient and physician and can trouble-shoot equipment quickly and efficiently.
  • The Angiography Technologist has the ability to tolerate long workdays and call hours.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year recent hospital Angiographic/Interventional Radiology, or Surgical Radiology Technologist experience.
  • Procedural experience preferred
  • Angiography experience preferred but not required
