Job Responsibilities:
  • GI Technician (GI Tech) serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team and is responsible for assisting with patient care under the supervision of a professional nurse.
  • The GI Tech performs nursing care skills that have been delegated by the licensed nurse.
  • She/he plays an integral role in the patient care experience and both directly and indirectly impacts the perception of care.
  • The GI Tech reports to the charge nurse or clinical manager.
  • Paid On-Call is required for position.

Preferred Qualifications

Job Requirements:      
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Passes a pre-hire employment tests
  • Successful completion of KHN GI Tech orientation
  • GI endoscopy experience preferred in all aspecsts of endoscopy procedures
  • Preferred minimum of 1 year experience as a GI Tech or Endoscopy
  • GI scheduling of cases preferred
  • Front desk and pre/post op care of patient preferred
  • CPR certification
