Responsibilities & Requirements

Provides a focused leadership presence for Network Clinical Quality across KHN including Inpatient,Outpatient and Ambulatory, to ensure delivery of the right care, to the right patient, at the right time to everypatient every time. Ensures KHN alignment of workflows and performance improvement methodologies.Director acts as an advocate for the safe and timely delivery of care with accountability for integrating servicesthat facilitate One Best Practice. Provides leadership direction for quality leaders across KHN. Providesoversight for Population Health related to Quality Metrics. Responsible for the Quality Programs related toAmbulator Care, Inpatient and Outpatient metrics. Responsible for the Patient Safety Program by creatingstrategy to improve Patient Safety across KHN overall and specifically related to Infection Control,Performance Improvement activities, Ambulatory Metrics, Inpatient and Outpatient metrics and ManagedCare Contracts. Responsible for strategy development and implementation needed to foster and maintain astrong Culture of Patient Safety. Provides coordination, oversight and support in relation to administering theCulture of Patient Safety Survey on an annual basis. Provides oversight for management of multiple requiredCardiac Registries including STS Adult Cardiac Surgery, NCDR Cath/PCI, ICD, Peripheral Vascular, Atrial FibAblation, Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion and STS/ACC Transcatheter Valve Replacement and Repairprocedures. Provides oversight for and develops strategies related to infection control and as well as datamanagement related to requirements for National Healthcare Safety Network(NHSN). As part of themultidisciplinary team, this Director collaborates with the quality leadership across the network and otherorganization leaders to support network wide quality objectives and goals. Provides support to and advancesthe physician quality plan through collaboration with Clinical Decision Support, KPN and KPP. Director willcollaborate with KPN, KPP, Service Line and Physician leaders for development, implementation and ongoingimprovement initiatives. Collaborates with physicians, KHN Leaders, KPP and KPN leaders to develop andimplement process to drive performance related to contract metrics. Director reports to and is under thedirection of the Network Chief Quality Officer.

 

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Related Field

Required Licenses

  • [Ohio, United States] Registered Nurse
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of Ohio

Minimum Work Experience

  • Five (5) years of progressive supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership and management skills

Required Skills

  • Certified Professional of Healthcare Quality – required or must be willing to obtain within 3 years
  • Maintains competencies & skills of specialty area of practice Ability to communicate effectively, written andoral.
