Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Summary

Responsible review of DRG reassignments resulting from payer audit findings and annual coding quality audits. Communicates effectively with CDI, PFS, and other teams impacted by the DRG reassignment. Completes assigned duties and other relate tasks.
 
Job Requirements
 
Minimum EducationAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management
 
Required LicensesCoder, Health Information
RHIT or RHIA certification and/or CCS certification.
 
Minimum Work ExperienceRHIT or RHIA with a minimum of five years of recent coding/abstracting experience in an acute care hospital or CCS with ten years of recent coding/abstracting experience in an acute care hospital.
