Job Summary

Functions as daily operations supervisor, assisting therapy manager and/or coordinator, to meet patient care workflow demands. Completes daily scheduling ensuring that staff are flexed to patient volumes, deploys teams to meet patient care demands, rounds on nursing units/staff ensuring that teams have the tools needed to complete job duties, acts as primary contact for calls/needs from nursing, med staff, and care management. Assists therapy staff (all disciplines) with clinical decision making related to prioritization of patient care, identification of priority needs, throughput barrier elimination, and adherence with culture of safety initiatives. Completes daily reports and participates in barrier calls, patient care rounds, and discharge planning meetings as requested. The Therapy Supervisor is a licensed therapist (PT, OT, SLP) who evaluates and treats patients in accordance with state and national practice acts. In cooperation with the referral source, provides therapy evaluation to determine the extent of the symptoms and/or functional limitations relevant to the diagnosis. Develops treatment plan that is targeted and adjusted to decrease or eliminate the symptoms and functional limitations. Assists with other departmental operations as requested. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Has proven ability to complete clinical care (evaluate, establish plan of care, and perform treatments) adhering to scope of practice, regulatory guidelines, and policies/procedures.

Education: 

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology required. Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree required. 

Work Experience: 

  • 2 years clinical experience as a PT, OT, SLP.

Licenses, Certifications and Registrations

  • BLS
  • Ohio License PT, OT, SLP
