Job Summary
The Kettering Health Senior Informatics Analyst assumes a project leadership role in planning, design, development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of modifications of clinical information systems. The Senior Informatics Analyst works under the direction of the Informatics Manager or Director. He/she utilizes knowledge and skills of clinical practice to determine clinical functions that are suitable for clinical applications and to ensure that clinical information systems are consistent with professional standards with clinical practice. He/she assumes leadership responsibilities for moderate to complex projects that involve the automation of patient data with corresponding workflow changes. The Senior Informatics Analyst considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, compliance impact on clinical practice in the planning and delivery of services. The Senior Informatics Analyst coordinates end user communications regarding changes to the clinical information system. This position uses the following tools to accomplish informatics goals: project management methodology, workflow documentation and analysis, change management methods, lean organizational manufacturing techniques and interpersonal communications.

Required Licenses, Certifications and Registrations
Informatics Certification from ANCC (Nursing) within 3 years of hire for staff with no informatics experience and 2 years for those with informatics experience.
CPHIMS HIMSS Certification (other disciplines) within 5 years of hire for staff with Bachelor’s degree and within 3 years for those with a graduate degree.
Clinical license in the state of Ohio
