Campus Overview

Kettering Health Main Campus

  • Kettering Health Main Campus, formerly Kettering Medical Center, is the flagship hospital of Kettering Health and has been serving Kettering, Ohio and the Greater Dayton area since 1964.

Department Overview

The Communications Supervisor is a supportive role within the Communications Center whose responsibilities include supervising employees through their daily routines and ensure policies and procedures are adhered to. This position will work closely with management and help mitigate issues as they arise.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Specific Duties:

  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Displays a working knowledge of service areas, including facility locations, municipal regulations, local procedures and geography.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of transportation operation and accounts receivable process.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations, as well as sensitive company and employee information.
  • Ensures all shifts are covered and filled with qualified personnel to meet minimum staffing requirements.
  • Monitor staff, phone que and direct workflow.
  • Audit calls and trips to ensure all information is obtained.

Preferred Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Medical terminology, preferred
  • Ambulance billing/revenue cycle experience, preferred
  • EMS/private transport experience, preferred
