The RN/Clinical Services Supervisor is responsible for:
- Provide quality nursing care, education, treatment and support to patients, staying attuned to the needs of their supporters as well. Serve as a patient advocate as they strive to have their health care needs addressed. Under the direction of the provider and/or practice leader, assists and delivers patient care duties, and provides administrative support and supervision throughout the practice. Manages staff schedules, time and attendance, provides daily coaching and support, collaborates with practice leader on corrective/disciplinary discussions/actions, and performance evaluations.
- Patient care duties include: preparing patients and exam rooms for physician consultation, taking medical history and vitals, conducting patient testing, monitoring results, and ongoing patient observation prior to, during, and following administration of treatment, assisting physician in special procedures to include minor surgery.
- Patient follow up to include: identify learning style and needs of patients (and their families), providing test results and appropriate education regarding medications, treatment plans and aftercare instructions, while promptly addressing their questions and concerns.
- Medical records: Effectively utilize EMR for charting, charging, retrieval of orders, scheduling, etc. Inputs, retrieves and interprets data from patient charts (paper and EMR) in a timely manner.
- Teaming and communication: Effectively communicates, displaying a professional and positive attitude towards patients, their families and staff, especially when addressing a difficult situation.
- Professional development: Participates in continuing education and nursing education activities both within and outside the network. Accountable for professional development within scope of care as defined by law. Dependable, demonstrates flexibility while prioritizing duties, and utilizes time efficiently in the completion of assigned duties.
Leadership: Manages staff schedules, time and attendance, provides daily coaching and support, collaborates with practice leader on corrective/disciplinary discussions/actions, and performance evaluations.
Job Requirements:
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio.
- Associate's degree required.
- Basic Life Support certification required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support may be required depending on specialty area and level of care provided at the practice.
- Excellent communication and teaming skills required.
