Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Transports patients to/from nursing units, treatment areas, and diagnostic areas safely and with respect for privacy and confidentiality

NOTE: This is a physical job that calls for excellent communication and people skills. Transporters need the strength to help lift patients, the stamina to spend all day of their feet, and the communication skills to work with patients, families, and hospital staff.

Preferred Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR certification
