Responsibilities

  • The KHN Informatics Analyst implements informatics solutions and technologies to support the provision of patient care, clinical decision making, outcomes management and research.
  • Assess, identifies issues and outcomes to accomplish informatics goals for specific clinical settings(ex. ED, Critical Care, Perinatal, Perioperative, Med/Surg, etc).
  • Assumes leadership responsibilities for simple to moderately complex projects whose scope remains within a single hospital or clinical area involving the automation of patient data with corresponding workflow changes.
  • Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost and impact on clinical practice in the planning and delivery of services.
  • Uses the following strategies to accomplish informatics goals:
  1. Project management methodology
  2. Workflow documentation and analysis
  3. Training based on adult learning principles
  4. Change management methods
  5. Organizational and interpersonal communications

Qualifications 

  • Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse or other Health Professional
  • For RN candidates: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required from an accredited school of nursing (NLN or CCNE)
  • For Non RN candidates: Associates Degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred. A minimum of 3 years clinical experience. Clinical experience that has provided opportunity to demonstrate competencies in clinical care, computer science, leadership, education, and or staff development required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and organization skills
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills
  • Ability to support users in all Network facilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite of products
  • Epic experience preferred
