Department Overview

The Operations Supervisor encourages and supports employees, making sure that company standards are met. Provides direction and supervises the employees through their daily routines, ensuring established policies and procedures are communicated and adhered to. Responds to Command Responses, Lift Assists, IV Starts, and other call types. Interacts with patients, facilities, and employees to ensure that they have an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities & Requirements

This job has supervisory responsibilities of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT, AEMT and Paramedic), Ambulette Drivers, and other personnel assigned within their location.

 

Job Specific Duties:

  • Displays a working knowledge of service areas, including facility locations, local regulations and procedures, and any local medical procedures.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with the Employee Handbook, SOPs, and Medical Standing Orders.
  • Drives company vehicles in accordance with company driving policies.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations, as well as sensitive company and employee information.
  • Ensures all shifts are covered and filled with qualified personnel to meet minimum staffing requirements.
  • Maintains constant Clinical Care/EMS knowledge and records all current protocols.

 

 

Operational Duties:

  • Maintains company vehicles and buildings, in compliance to standards of City, State, and Federal regulations.
  • Responsible for overseeing that crews maintain cleaning standards of station(s), vehicle(s), and equipment.
  • Completes detailed Incident Reports and Accident Reports.
  • Ensures employees maintain inventory of supplies in vehicle(s) and station(s).
  • Displays a working knowledge of equipment used within the company.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Current State of Ohio EMS certification
  • CPR certification
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification, required within six (6) months of hire
  • Valid driver’s license, with no more than four (4) points, and approval by company insurance provider
  • Annual proctored skills and written protocol (standing orders) testing without lapse
