Kettering Health Dayton

  • Kettering Health Dayton, formerly Grandview Medical Center, has been providing care to Dayton and surrounding communities for over 90 years.
  • Over 20 specialties, including orthopedics, heart and vascular, surgery, and trauma services.
  • KH Dayton expanded their Emergency Department as well as their heart & vascular services to include an additional catheterization lab and electrophysiology lab.
  • Partners with Gem City Market to provide fresh fruits and vegetables every Tuesday within the hospital. 
  • One of the largest osteopathic teaching hospitals in the United States.

Responsibilities & Requirements

KHN's CPE Program is a paid residency providing supervised, clinical practice in healthcare ministry.  CPE Residents serve as part of KHN's interdisciplinary team for patient care services.  They provide emotional and spiritual care to patients, families and staff dealing with issues of crisis, grief, death and bereavement. 

 


Minimum Education
Master of Divinity degree or its equivalent experiences in ministry.

 


Minimum Work Experience
At least 2-3 years of demonstrated pastoral experiences.

 


Required Skills
Basic computer knowledge for chairing and documentations of patient, facilities, and staff encounters. Ability to read research findings and theories that can be integrated into one’s pastoral care or functioning.
