Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities

  • The PA Supervisor monitors daily functioning and quality of data of operations within the department.

  • Reporting directly to the Patient Access Manager on system and productivity related issues.

  • PA Supervisor is responsible for providing coaching and training.

  • Provides direct supervision as relates to ongoing system related issues and changes.

  • Works closely with the department manager in measuring quality standards and productivity as relates to scheduler performance.

  • Keeps current on all policies, procedures and developments that affect Central Scheduling, Pre-Certification and Insurance Verification and assures that department staffs understand and use such information in daily work.

  • Carries out duties in a “lead” capacity and is assigned special, complex tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

Requirements:

  • HS. Diploma
  • Knowledge in areas of scheduling, patient access, registration and other areas as appropriate.
  • Excellent human relations and oral and written communication skills.
  • Positive demeanor in one’s approach to dealing with people and problems.
  • Approaches life with high energy.
  • Membership in appropriate professional organizations is considered a necessary element of this position and participation in community organizations enhancing the effectiveness of the medial center is encouraged.
