Kettering Health Main Campus

  • Kettering Health Main Campus, formerly Kettering Medical Center, is the flagship hospital of Kettering Health and has been serving Kettering, Ohio and the Greater Dayton area since 1964.
  • The facility includes the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Heart Hospital, maternity service with a level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and level II Emergency Care.
  • In 2020, KH Main Campus received an “A” from the Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety watchdog, ranking among the safest hospitals in the United States.
  • Received 4 Star Baby-Friendly Hospital status by the Ohio Hospital Association.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Responsibilities

  • The Development Coordinator is responsible for implementation of fund-raising programs including annual giving clubs, special events, direct mail, written proposals and personal solicitation.   
  • Responsible for medical student, resident and alumni engagement 
  • Provides content and coordinates communication efforts to produce at least 3 issues of Grandview at a Glance and 2 mailings to alumnae from each of Grandview’s 12 residency programs 
  • Coordinates and leads RAGS association to provide networking and wellbeing activities for residents and attending physicians. 
  • Represents the Foundation in the community at special events and educational opportunities. 
  • Performs diversified administrative support for the Vice President for Development of The Grandview Foundation including the following: compile reports, presentations, and other materials relating to graduate medical education. 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Demonstrated competency in or willingness to learn Raiser’s Edge software 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel 
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with, and learn, software programs 
  • 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, development or advancement support 
  • Ability to follow through with minimum direct supervision 
  • Exceptional organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills and problem solving skills 
  • Ability to interact with staff and the public in a professional manner and maintain confidentiality at all times. 
  • Ability to reach and/or stand for extended periods, push/pull/lift/carry heavy objects, and travel to other departments/outside facilities and overcome any barrier required. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Associates degree in addition to 5-7 years of writing or copywriting experience could substitute for Bachelor’s Degree.
