The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in driving financial excellence across the organization. This position goes beyond traditional accounting—it's about transforming the way we work. You’ll lead efforts to streamline accounting processes, embrace automation, and implement smarter workflows that boost accuracy and efficiency. In addition to overseeing financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls, you’ll supervise and mentor staff accountants, collaborate cross-functionally to deliver actionable financial insights, and support strategic planning and budgeting. You’ll also take ownership of resolving complex financial inquiries, supporting audits and tax filings, and championing change in a constantly evolving environment. The senior accountant will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, providing insights to support strategic decision-making, and supervising the staff accountants. Additionally, ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and proper internal controls. The senior accountant will collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights, assist in strategic planning, and contribute to the budgeting processing. Also, responsible for financial inquires, problem resolution, assist with audits and tax filings, and other duties as assigned.
Education
Work Experience
3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare, corporate or public accounting setting.
Experience supervision staff or leading a project.
Skills
Strong knowledge of GAAP and health care industry standards, financial reporting, and accounting software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and other Office software
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Understanding of the financial statement close process (monthly, quarterly, and year-end).
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and supervise staff accountants.
