Campus Overview

Kettering Health Main Campus

  • Kettering Health Main Campus, formerly Kettering Medical Center, is the flagship hospital of Kettering Health and has been serving Kettering, Ohio and the Greater Dayton area since 1964.
  • The facility includes the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Heart Hospital, maternity service with a level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and level II Emergency Care.

Department Overview

The KTS Driver transports wheelchair bound patients to and/or from medical care facilities.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Specific Duties:

  • Ensures the basic needs of the patient is met during transport.
  • Arrives on time at patient pick-up locations.
  • Ensures that patients are left at the appropriate destination.
  • Completes patient care and billing reports.
  • Ability to properly use wheelchair lift in ambulette vehicle and safely secure all patients.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations, as well as sensitive company and employee information.

 

Operational Duties:

  • Performs regular assigned shift duties.
  • Maintains cleaning standards of station(s), vehicle(s), and equipment.
  • Completes detailed Incident Reports and Accident Reports, in a timely manner, at the request of management.
  • Uses appropriate terminology and tone and follows all radio communication procedures.
  • Drives company vehicles in accordance with company driving policies.

Preferred Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • First Aid certification, preferred
  • CPR certification, preferred
  • Valid driver’s license, with no more than four (4) points, and approval by company insurance provider
