The Occupational Therapist I delivers evidence-based occupational therapy services to patients across the care continuum, focusing on comprehensive assessment, individualized treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions to help patients develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills. This role supports patients in achieving optimal independence and functional outcomes, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and educating patients and families on rehabilitation strategies to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program. Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program preferred. However, bachelors with current OT lisensure acceptable. Completion of required clinical fieldwork as part of an accredited occupational therapy program Current and valid Occupational Therapist license issued by the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board prior to start date. Successful completion of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain during orientation period.
Doctorate in Occupational Therapy Prior experience as an occupational therapist or in a healthcare setting Active National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification (if not required for licensure renewal)
