Responsibilities & Requirements

The Clinical Dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy to patients by assessing nutritional needs, developing individualized care plans, and supporting optimal health outcomes across the continuum of care. This role collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, educates patients and families, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards to promote patient safety and quality care. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field from an ACEND-accredited program; completion of an accredited dietetic internship with a minimum of 1,000 supervised practice hours.Experience in a clinical nutrition setting (such as a hospital or healthcare facility) is typically required; entry-level candidates may be considered if all licensure requirements are met.Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR); State of Ohio Dietitian License (must be obtained prior to start date, in accordance with Ohio Revised Code § 4759.06).

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field. One or more years of experience providing medical nutrition therapy in an acute care or outpatient setting.
